North Dakota’s Real Life Monster Doesn’t Get What He Deserves
Ray Holmberg, a real-life "monster" in North Dakota, is serving a 10-year Federal prison sentence.
Holmberg, a former North Dakota state legislator for 45 years, was sent to prison for traveling to the Czech Republic, where he paid to sexually exploit underage boys in the city of Prague. He was convicted back in March of this year.
This is something he has done many times while in office. How many times? Approximately 14 times between 2011 and 2021, according to the Office of Public Affairs-U.S. Department of Justice.
The 81-year-old from Grand Forks, North Dakota, stayed at a brothel that catered to men looking to engage in commercial sex with adolescent boys. Truly sick, there would even be such a place in this world.
Holmberg (North Dakota's real-life monster) paid for sex acts with these boys. In the article, it says Ray would even find time to proposition young boys in the Prague public parks for sex, according to what witnesses told law enforcement.
What's really sad, at one time, this individual was also a counselor at Grand Forks Central High School and the University of North Dakota.
Hmmm, easy access to children. Just sick.
There's been all kinds of talk recently about North Dakota lawmakers who may have known of Holmberg's extracurricular activities. It's a pretty good bet that a major cover-up will likely be exposed in the coming days, months, or even years.
This is the kind of story that will end up on Dateline or 20/20 someday. What a black eye for the state of North Dakota.

I can't understand how this crime could only be a 10-year sentence?
You read about sex offenders and child porn cases all the time where the perpetrator gets a much stiffer sentence. In fact, according to the Bismarck Tribune, a man linked to Ray Holmberg was just sentenced to 40 years on child porn charge. Dispicable.
No, Ray Holmberg should rot in prison for the rest of his life. 10 years seems way too lenient. Actually, there's a special place in hell for monsters like Holmberg. We will all be better off when he is there.
