The 4th Of July Fun Guide For South-Central North Dakota
Abnormally Dry
Thankfully, according to the latest drought monitor map for North Dakota, most of us should have no problems with shooting off fireworks this year. We are right on the edge of abnormally dry in Bismarck-Mandan, but it looks like we could see some significant precipitation over the next week to help alleviate any fire concern we might have.

Even though we won't have to worry about a fireworks bans this year in our neck of the woods, you should always use caution when shooting off fireworks in the country. Have a shovel and some water along to help prevent wildfires. As always, the public should check with their local jurisdictions for specific restrictions.
It's ILLEGAL in Bismarck
Keep in mind it continues to be illegal to shoot fireworks off in the city of Bismarck unless you have a special license to do so. You are, however, allowed to shoot fireworks off within the city limits of Mandan and Lincoln (be sure to check for local restrictions).
