This slow moving weather system continues to affect the region. The National Weather Service in Bismarck has updated the snow totals predictions and travel conditions for the area.

**Update 10:45am - A Travel Alert remains in effect for the remainder of the state due to icy road conditions, accumulating snow and reduced visibility. Cities included in the Travel Alert are: Williston, Minot, Bismarck, Valley City, Jamestown, Devils Lake, Fargo, Grand Forks and surrounding areas. Motorists are advised to reduce speeds as roadways are ice covered.**

**Update, 10:00AM, – Icy road conditions and the threat of blowing snow are causing the BisMan Transit paratransit service to shut down. All services will conclude Monday, March 5, 2018 at 11:00 AM. We will work to ensure that all paratransit riders will get home.
Paratransit service will begin again at 5:30 AM on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, weather permitting. If service is cancelled for Tuesday, March 6, a new press release will be sent out.
The last run for Capital Area Transit (CAT) will be the 10:30 AM run. The CAT is expected to begin running at traditional times on Tuesday morning. **

The area is still under the influence of a WINTER STORM WARNING, with the freezing rain and sleet transitioning into snow this afternoon.

Snow totals for the Bismarck-Mandan area can range from 6-12 inches, and blizzard conditions expected in the far south-west region, near the Bowman area, into South Dakota.

Mandan Public Schools closed on Monday. Parent-teacher conferences also will be rescheduled.

The NDHSAA Class B Boys Basketball Region Tournaments have been postponed to start tomorrow.
