Flock Cameras Ruffling Feathers
Flock cameras are the talk of the town these days, right here in North Dakota and all across the country. I even noticed on a sandbar while I was crossing the Expressway bridge recently, the words NO FLOCK written in the sand. People are obviously concerned about Flock cameras and what they stand for.

They can capture vehicle license plates, make, model, and color, as well as unique features like bumper stickers or dents, and share this information with law enforcement, schools, and private businesses or groups.
The Cities in North Dakota with Flock Cameras
According to LPRMAPS, these are cities currently with Flock cameras in use. Keep in mind this list is likely changing frequently.
West Fargo - 82
Fargo - 19
Horace - 13
Grand Forks - 10
Bismarck - 7
Medora - 7
Minot - 4
Hillsboro - 2
Casselton - 2
Altona - 1
As you can see from this list, West Fargo and Fargo lead the state. Horace, which is basically a suburb of Fargo, also has a hefty number for a town of its size. Grand Forks and Bismarck also have a fair number of Flock cameras. Keep in mind, at least in Bismarck, local law enforcement agencies do not officially own or operate municipal Flock networks in our area.
There you have it. You are being watched and monitored. How do you feel about it, Bismarck-Mandan? I know that I personally have mixed emotions. I'm not a fan of government or anybody, for that matter, knowing my business, but if they are being used to keep us safe, it's tough to argue.
