Dollar General Store Is Coming To Lincoln!
I recently did a post on stores and services that the city of Lincoln could use. It was a very popular and debatable topic on several of the Facebook forums in Bismarck Mandan a couple weeks back. Lincoln is my adopted home town, as I live a couple miles south of it. Number one on my list was a car wash. It's very frustrating having to drive 10 to 15 minutes into Bismarck, wash your car, and by the time you get back home, your car is dusty/dirty again.
Number two on my list was a Subway location. I don't care if it's in a new gas station or a stand alone store. I know a Subway would "kill it" in Lincoln.
Another store I felt that would do well was a Dollar General Store. They're popping up in small towns all across North Dakota and the country for that matter. I've been hearing rumors that the city of Lincoln would be getting a store. I spent sometime with the Mayor of Lincoln yesterday, Gerald Wise and he confirmed that the city of Lincoln is indeed getting a Dollar General Store.
The store will be located right off Lincoln Road, near the roundabout and across from the Cenex Store to the south. This land has had horses on it, since I moved to the area a couple of years ago. Here's a shot of approximately where the store will be located.
You can see the for sale sign in the picture. Mayor Gerald Wise told me he expects that ground will be broken this spring. I know several Lincoln residents who are excited to get this new business in town.
