Vikes Comeback Falls Short This Time!
After a historic comeback last week against the Denver Broncos, the Vikings failed to repeat in come from behind fashion this week against a very good Seattle Seahawks football team.
The Vikings held early leads of 7-0 and led 17-10 at halftime. The 3rd quarter however turned out to be a disaster as the Vikings fell behind 34-17 after numerous turnovers and miscues. To add insult to injury the Vikings also had their star running back Davin Cook leave the game midway through the third quarter of Monday night's 37-30 loss to the Seahawks and didn't play another snap, but he said after the game he was held out for precautionary reasons.
Cook had popped up on the Vikings injury report Thursday with a chest injury that he said occurred last week against the Broncos and limited him in practice. He practiced fully Friday and began Monday's game without issue, but the injury was aggravated against the Seahawks. Hopefully, he'll be back in action against the Lions!
The Vikings now have less margin for error in their playoff chase, with the Rams and Bears also eyeing for that final playoff spot.
Kirk Cousins is now 0-8 on Monday night football.
