UND Hockey, a new era, a new set of jerseys.

The University of North Dakota men's hockey team, under new head coach Dane Jackson, unveiled a set of new jerseys for the 2025-2206 season.

Dane Jackson, who was a former player for UND, also spent 19 years behind the bench at North Dakota as an assistant coach. Jackson was a forward for UND from 1988 to 1992. Jackson is the 17th head coach in North Dakota hockey history.

Jackson replaced another former UND hockey player, Brad Berry, who had an impressive overall head coaching record, but was highly criticized for not being able to win playoff games. Especially in recent years. Berry did have one National Championship for the Fighting Hawks under his belt.

New coach and a new tradition.

The UND hockey team is arguably the most popular team in all of sports in North Dakota. The NDSU Bison might argue that fact, but while the Bison have been struggling to sell out some games the last couple of years, meanwhile, The Ralph in Grand Forks is basically a sellout every weekend during the winter.

Fans come from all over the state of North Dakota, and even Minnesota, to see their favorite hockey team play.

Fans will see a new look from their favorite hockey team in the state during the 2025-2026 season.

North Dakota hockey unveiled a set of 4 jerseys on social media that the team plans to wear this season. 3 of them have a new look to them. A very traditional look, let's take a peek.

And now, a look at the backside.

These jerseys resemble the sweaters UND wore in the 90s after they went away from the "Blackhawk" logo.

I've seen a mixed reaction on social media so far. Everything from "love" to "lousy" and everything in between.

They are a little "plain" for my liking. What do you think? Let us know in the comments our social media pages.
