The Most Historic Small Town In North Dakota
Mom.me recently published a list of the most historic small town in every state, and where could this small historic town be located in The Peace Garden State?
According to the website, the most historic small town in the state is a town that represents the "real" early America. These towns are where our real history and past can be found including settlements, buildings, villages, rivers, ancestors, bridges and towns.
Plus, these towns have generations of people or immigrants which settled in the area in the early years.
For North Dakota, the town is Pembina. Located near the Canadian border and the town was the first settlement in the state. In the early days, this was a bustling town where settlers did a lot of bartering and fur trading and reflects Native American History.
