Thursday night was a rough one for many in Burleigh, Morton and surrounding counties as a line of severe weather moved through the region.

The alerts and the severe weather watches started last night(6/28) and the warnings started after midnight on Friday morning.

The area experienced strong winds, heavy lightning, and thunder.

Many residents woke up to debris in their yards along with down limbs and trees.

There was damage reported throughout the area due to the strong winds as daylight broke on Friday morning.

Listeners sent pictures of damage from overnight.

The roof was blown off a building in Hoge Island in Burleigh County.
