On a clear bright cold Wednesday morning here in Bismarck, I spotted something that made me smile.....

....AND hungry at the same time. I first wrote about this just last summer, and the buzz around town still hasn't stopped. Here is what the Aspen Group LLP posted on their Facebook page back around June:

"Jessica Knutson is excited to announce the completion of a land sale for Bismarck's Panda Express location! Panda Restaurant Group, the world leader in Asian dining experiences and parent company of Panda Inn, Panda Express and Hibachi-San, is dedicated to becoming a world leader in people development. Whether through sharing good food with guests or providing opportunities for professional and personal growth with associates, all are embraced in a genuine family environment that is uniquely Panda.
Keep an eye out for updates and the Grand Opening announcement!"

Judging by the rumors and extra excited people living here in BisMan, they have been thirsting for ANY latest Panda info

Well, I don't have a projected opening date to give you, but I can supply some Panda sightings that I came across earlier this morning. Looking at all the construction vehicles and other cars that were in the parking lot at 4521 Ottawa St, I would predict this much-awaited restaurant will be open in the next 30-45 days. This really reminds me of when Chick-fil-A was in the mid-late stages of its grand opening here at the Kirkwood mall parking lot. There are only 3 active Panda's in North Dakota, Fargo that is - BUT NOW there is a Panda just waiting to pounce on all of Bismarck and Mandan - and WE can't wait!
