The National Weather Service has issued a weather statement for freezing rain anticipated for the area tonight and tomorrow.

According to the NWS;

"freezing rain is expected to develop across the area this evening and overnight ahead of a warm front moving quickly through the region. The freezing rain is expected after 8 pm at places like Sherwood...Minot...Rugby...Washburn...Harvey... Bismarck...Linton...Jamestown...Wishek and Oaks. A freezing rain advisory has been issued from 9 pm cst this evening through 6 am cst Sunday.
The western third of North Dakota will see temperatures rise above freezing this evening and this is expected to keep the precipitation as rain across the west.
be prepared for slippery roads and sidewalks tonight. the freezing rain will end before sunrise Sunday."

A computer module does have another POLAR VORTEX front moving through the area late next week, but this event will not be as cold as the last Polar front that moved through last week that hit the area with the coldest weather in 10 years.
