For the start of the Christmas Holiday week, the area will experience very cold, dangerously cold temperatures according to the National Weather Service in Bismarck. We'll start with Sunday Night, DANGEROUS COLD SUNDAY NIGHT FOLLOWED BY A WINTRY MIX AND BLOWING SNOW MONDAY NIGHT INTO TUESDAY... VERY COLD TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED. DANGEROUS WIND CHILLS TO 40 BELOW MAY BE POSSIBLE.

A WIND CHILL ADVISORY remains in effect until 1PM Sunday.

Area residents are once again reminded to make sure you have a safety survival kit in your car and truck. Double check the contents and update the kit if necessary. Make sure that pets have shelter from the wind.
