North Dakota’s Tigirlily Gold Just Got Nashville’s Highest Honor
You can probably count the number of North Dakota natives who have performed at The Grand Ole Opry on one hand.
The Hazen, North Dakota sisters are now a part of that very small and exclusive group. According to a Facebook Video, Kendra and Krista Slaubaugh, who now live in Nashville, Tennessee, shared a video on their Tigirlily Gold page featuring country singer Ashley McBrydee giving the girls the good news.
They immediately broke down and started crying. The sisters even embraced and apparently, that is something don't do too often. Tigirlily Gold has toured with Ashley McBryde and both Kendra and Krista told me personally how much they love her. That must have made the news especially sweet. Here's a screenshot from a Facebook Reel from Tigirlily Gold.
Tigirily Gold will be making their Opry debut on May 13th and get this, they will be opening for Carrie Underwood.
How awesome is that? Our favorite North Dakota ladies have really picked up steam over the last couple of months as their hit "Shoot Tequila" has been getting airplay, not only on our airwaves of US 103-3, but across the country as well.
"Shoot Tequila" is currently at #52 and rising on the Hot Country 100 chart, according to Radiowave.
I've had the feeling for a long time that Tigirlily Gold is right on the cusp of making it big in Nashville. They have certainly paid their dues and are seasoned performers. Not every artist is as good live as they are recorded but Tigirlily Gold sure is. Tremendous performers, and I personally hope to catch them somewhere live this summer. Congrats ladies!
