Mall Of America In Financial Trouble?
According to KFGO, the Mall Of America in Bloomington Minnesota is running into some financial troubles. The Mall Of America owes the city $2.3 Million in property taxes. The mall owner, Triple Five Group, has entered a forbearance agreement as it tries to avoid foreclosure. According to KFGO, the Mall Of America accounts for 10% of Bloomington's property tax base.
The Mall Of America is a great place to go and see. There's so many things to do and see inside the mall. They have shopping to builiding lego's to riding on theme park rides. The Mall Of America has an indoor theme park called Nickelodeon Universe. It's a great place to go in the winter months when a person wants to go ride a roller coaster just go to the Mall Of America.
The Mall Of America has struggled since the coronavirus pandemic started. Hopefully we can get back to normal and people will start going there again. According to Minneapolis WCCO, the mall is behind on its mortgage also. The mall is currently three months behind on payments of it's $1.4 billion mortgage.
These are terrible times for all of us and hopefully they can figure things out and we can all get back to normal. The mall has been a favorite place of mine since I was a little kid.
