Hold on to Your Hat! Wind Advisory Overnight and Sunday, Wind Warnings for Other Areas of the State (UPDATED 3/28 4PM)
The wind will be the one thing you will notice this weekend. Actually, you'll notice the temperatures will be warming, but the wind will get your attention.
The National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued a WIND ADVISORY in effect from 1 AM to 1 PM CDT Sunday. The system will mostly be felt for the over night hours, some effects will exist throughout the day late Saturday into early Sunday.
The area will feel sustained Northwest winds around 30 mph with gusts around 40 mph.
Areas of the state will have a HIGH WIND WARNING and this will include Dickinson. Plus combined with the dry conditions of the area, Southeastern portions of the state will also be under the influence of a RED FLAG WARNING. This area will have winds in excess of 55 MPH.
The towns included in the Wind Advisory include Mohall, Bottineau, Minot, Garrison, Center, Fort Yates, Lincoln, Bismarck, Mandan, Linton Steele and New Town.
