Wind Advisory

You may not LOVE the weather this Valentine's Day in North Dakota.

The National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued a WIND ADVISORY in effect for Bismarck and surrounding towns and counties.

Dry and windy conditions present a fire danger for the area through Wednesday (4/6) evening. Winds gusting up to 45 mph are expected this evening and over night into Wednesday morning.

The wind will be the one thing you will notice this weekend. Actually, you'll notice the temperatures will be warming, but the wind will get your attention.

Another clipper system will move through the area tonight, with it bringing a mix of rain and snow. A WIND ADVISORY is in effect from 10 AM Sunday through 12 AM Monday.

Bismarck and the surrounding counties can't get a break! Since the Arctic front passed through the area last week, it seems like it has a grip and won't let loose.

Very windy and cold temperatures are expected in our future for the Bismarck and Mandan area.

Yesterday, McQuade's got a few games in, but most of the day was a wash out due to heavy rain in the area. Most of the games got determined by the flip of a coin. The winning teams advance into the final rounds today.

The Ribfest will be gusty and windy today. Make and take the necessary precautions needed, especially if you're a vender at the fairgrounds. The National Weather Service has issued a WIND ADVISORY from 1-7 PM today. A low pressure will deepen across Eastern Montana today, and will result in strong south easterly winds across  the Bismarck-Mandan area with sustained winds up to 35 mph and peak gust
