Over 6,000 deer gun licenses remain in 17 counties for those hunters interested in hunting deer this fall in North Dakota. According to an article on KFRY-TV, the deadline to enter is coming on July 22nd. So if you didn't have luck in the initial lottery for the 2020 deer gun season in North Dakota, here's your chance.
Unsuccessful hunters must apply online at gf.nd.gov. Only resident applicants who were unsuccessful in the initial lottery can apply for remaining deer gun licenses. According to the North Dakota Game and Fish website more than 81,000 individuals applied for a deer gun lottery license and that's in addition to about 12,600 gratis applicants. The proclamation for the 2020 deer gun hunting season calls form 69,050 deer gun season licenses.

After a pretty mild winter over much of the state, you can expect a strong deer population to be carried over into the fall of 2020. Since so much of the corn crop was left standing over the winter it also made for plenty of accessible food for the animals as well.
