Five Time PRCA World Steer Wrestler Comes To ND
According to KFYR-TV, five time PRCA World Steer Wrestling Champion Luke Branquinho came to North Dakota to do a steer wrestling clinic. One of the guys that was at the clinic will be going to the National Finals Rodeo in Arlington Texas on November 3, 2020.
According to KFYR-TV, This is Luke Branquiho's third year in a row for coming here to do this clinic and he likes watching the people he teaches succeed. I've actually got the chance to meet Luke Branquihno in Las Vegas when we were both at the national finals rodeo. Shannon Dean, the on air personality, actually introduced the two of us about four years ago at the national finals rodeo.
The one thing that sticks out to me the most about Luke is that he was a really nice guy. He was really down to earth and you could tell he was a people person and that he cared about what I had to say. He's been a great mentor for many people and a big role model. I hope if Luke comes back to North Dakota next year that I'll get the chance at meeting him again.
The national finals rodeo will not be held in Las Vegas this year due to covid-19 but will instead be in Arlington, Texas. The event will be held at Globe Life Field where the Texas Rangers play. Many people are excited about the move and think that, that's where the NFR should be held while others would rather it be in Las Vegas at the Thomas and Mack Center.
