According to the PBR website, Joe Berger the father of Chad Berger passed away on December 25, 2020 at the age of 84. Joe Berger was a livestock contractor just like his son Chad. Joe Berger was a great guy and this is sad to see the PBR and Bis-Man community lose such a great person.

According to PBR's Website Joe Berger began his career in bucking bulls in the 1960's. The Berger family has had bucking bulls for many years and have had some of the best bulls in the country. Joe Berger raised Little Yellow Jacket PBR's only three time world champion bull.

The Berger ranch is just outside of Mandan, ND and has been home to some of the greatest bucking bulls people have ever seen. The Berger Bulls have traveled all across the country for rodeos and PBR's. These bulls are great and are a lot of fun to watch. It takes a lot of years to get this industry mastered and I think Chad and Joe have done that.

According to Chad Berger's instagram post it stated "Christmas Day my dad left us to be with Jesus. He was my hero and taught me everything I know. He will missed greatly!! Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers!" Joe will be missed by many and the rodeo and PBR days will never be the same. On Berger Bucking Bulls instagram page it stated, "If it weren’t for Joe Berger, there would be no @chadbergerbuckingbulls. We are saddened at the loss of a wonderful Father, Grandfather, Brother, & Friend! Thank you to all of you reaching out and keeping our family in your prayers!"
