Virtually the entire state is in some winter weather statement, except northwest North Dakota.

Latest Snowfall Estimates

Nothing has really changed from earlier this morning. 6 to 10 inches in the Capital Region looks like a good guess at this point, but there is potential for up to 14 inches and as much as 17 inches just east of us. Check out this latest post from the National Weather Service. YIKES! Expect these totals to be fine-tuned by the National Weather Service this afternoon.

Impacts From This Winter Storm

A new development from this morning. The wind is expected to be more of a problem with gusty northeast winds that could cause some blowing snow and visibility issues. Combine that with potentially heavy snow, and this could affect your morning and evening commutes both on Friday and Saturday. The National Weather Service in Bismarck is now saying that travel could be difficult or even impossible.
