According to the Jamestown Sun, A Canadian Pacific Train hauling grain derailed in Carrington, North Dakota on Sunday April 26, 2020. According to Google, Carrington is about 128.8 miles from Bismarck, North Dakota. No injuries were reported with the derailment and no hazardous materials hit the ground. The last 15 to 20 cars derailed under the Highway 200/52 overpass. According to the Jamestown Sun U.S. Highway 52 was closed for about 90 minutes and a detour was put in place while Canadian Pacific and the North Dakota Department of Transportation inspected the bridge.

According to the Jamestown Sun, Andy Cummings media relations manager for Canadian Pacific in Minneapolis, Minnesota said the grain train derailed at about 7:00 a.m. Sunday April 26, 2020. The cause of the derailment is under investigation.

It's always scary when trains derail because there's no telling where or how far the cars will go before they come to a stop. I'm glad no one got hurt. This could have been a lot worse outcome.
