The Latest On Our Winter Storm

Looks like we'll be dealing with two different systems that will bring up to two feet of snow to portions of North Dakota.  Here's the latest from the National Weather Service.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM CDT /6 AM
MDT/ FRIDAY...
...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY MORNING
THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...For the Winter Storm Warning, heavy snow expected.
  Additional snow accumulations of 5 to 12 inches. Locally higher
  amounts are possible. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. For the
  Winter Storm Watch, additional snow accumulations of 4 to 12
  inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 50 mph Friday
  through Saturday afternoon when blizzard conditions are
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of north central and south central North
  Dakota.

* WHEN...For the Winter Storm Warning, until 7 AM CDT Friday.
  For the Winter Storm Watch, from Friday morning through
  Saturday evening.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult to impossible.
  Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.
  Strong winds combined with snow and ice could cause extensive
  damage to trees and power lines.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency. Inform others of your
travel plans.
