An early season winter storm is expected to impact central and western North Dakota late this week and into the weekend.

Get your shovels, gloves, boots, snowblower and your winter survival gear ready.  Yep, it's that time of year again.  Seems like it begins earlier and earlier every year.

Rain will likely begin across northwest North Dakota Tuesday, changing over to snow Tuesday night, and then spread across the area on Wednesday.  Accumulating snow may linger through Friday.  Strong winds may also lead to patchy blowing snow and travel issues.

Although there is still plenty uncertainty regarding snowfall amounts and the exact storm track, be prepared for travel impacts from winter weather Wednesday through Friday.  A hard freeze is also expected across western North Dakota Wednesday night and across all of western and central North Dakota Thursday night and Friday night.  Make sure to keep up to date with the forecast over the next couple of days and listen to this station!
