Huggin' and Kissin' in the "Love Shack"!  The B 52's from the Minot Air Force Base will be doing a flyover Bismarck on Monday, May 18th to show support for Bismarck heathcare professionals, first responders and front line workers according to an article on KFYR-TV.

The B 52's will fly over both Sanford and St. Alexius hospitals in Bismarck at 1:35pm today.  They will then head to Fargo to flyover Sanford hospital at 2:15, before going to Grand Forks and Altru Hospital at 2:30 and back to Minot and Trinity Medical Center at 3:25pm.  The B 52's stratofortress  from Minot Air Force announced the Military flyover late last week to show support due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Minot Air Force base cautions people if they decide to gather, to follow social distancing guidelines and stay six feet apart.  The best place to see the B-52's in Bismarck Mandan would be downtown near the hospitals.

The Minot Air Force says they do over thousand of these type flyovers each year for patriotic or sporting events.  These flyovers are done at no cost to taxpayers in North Dakota.

As somebody who grew up in Grand Forks, it was always quite a site to see these massive bombers flyover highway 2, as they were practicing takeoffs and landings.  The B 52's left the Grand Forks Air Force Base in late 1986 before being replaced by the B-1 bomber at the time.

Once again, the B 52's stratofortress will flyover both Sanford and St. Alexius hospitals today at 1:35pm here in Bismarck.
