COVID-19 numbers in North Dakota continue to look much better than this past fall.  With the vaccine process underway in the state, you can feel a sense of optimism as we head into 2021.

Well, one sign of a return to normalcy?  The Red River Valley Fair in Fargo has announced its dates and some of it's entertainment.  According to an article on Valley News Live, The 2021 Red River Valley Fair will be held for 10 days. It’ll go from July 9th to July18th at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds in West Fargo.

I've always had very fond memories of the Red River Valley Fair.  Growing up in Grand Forks, our county fair failed in comparison to the Red River Valley Fair.  The rides were better, the food was better and the entertainment was much better.  In fact, the very first concert I saw as a kid was at the Red River Valley Fair. It was the rock band Survivor.  What's special about that for me, the very first concert I brought my son to was also Survivor at the Red River Valley Fair.  Something we'll always share.

The Red River Valley Fair didn't announce their complete line up yet, but they did say country singer Trace Adkins, most known for his hits "You're going to miss this" and "Honkeytonk Badonkadonk" will be performing on the Grandstand stage on Saturday, July 17th. Tickets go on sale for Trace Adkins on Friday, January 15th at 9 am. Tickets are $25 and will include your gate admission to the Fair on Saturday, July 17th, 2021Tickets will be available for purchase at redrivervalleyfair.com.  More acts will be announced soon.
