This would be a first for my time in the Bismarck-Mandan area. A possible mountain lion sighting around the University of Mary on Wednesday, Sept. 27th according to the KFYR-TV.

Students were advised to stay away from the west end of the campus at the University of Mary because of a possible sighting of a mountain lion. It is worth adding, the report is an unconfirmed report of a sighting. Never the less, to be on the safe side, students were advised to stay away from the area.

Authorities did not see any evidence of a mountain lion. Game and Fish did not find tracks or scat.

Game and Fish did say that wild dogs and cats are sometimes mistaken for lions in the area. There was also a report earlier in the week of a mountain lion sighting in the northwest side of Bismarck. Both sightings have not been confirmed.
