Remembering Passwords can be Frusterating

If you're like most people, you have a standard password that you use to access your email, bank accounts, medical records, pay your bills, access your work computer, and any other website you have to make an account for.

The problem with that is that it makes it ridiculously easy for hackers to make your life a living hell, steal your identity, and bleed your assets dry.

Nord Pass compiled the 200 Most Common Passwords that Americans use. They teamed up with NordStellar in a collaboration with independent researchers specializing in cybersecurity incidents. The timeframe on this data was from September 2024 to September 2025 on recent public data breaches and dark web incidents.

One pattern that was discovered during the compilation of this data is that people tend to use their common first names and surnames in passwords. This makes you extremely vulnerable when it comes to security. An example would be Joan89 or Joan123456 (name and year she was born or name and 6 numbers).

I'm going to share the 8 not-so-great password combinations that North Dakota and the rest of America tend to use the most. I know I'm guilty of the following. Again, Nord Pass suggests you change these immediately.

8 Passwords to Change Immediately

8. 12345678910

7. Password

6. 12345

5. 123456789

4. 12345678

3. 123456

2. password

1. admin

Avoid using the passwords above or combinations with your name or surname if you don't want to be hacked.
