The Bismarck Mandan area remains in a Winter Storm Warning until tomorrow morning Thursday, December 15th at 6 am.

The entire state of North Dakota is currently under this warning, which is somewhat of a rare occurrence to have all of North Dakota under the same weather warning.

Here are the latest snowfall totals as of 12 noon today, according to the National Weather Service.  Keep in mind that we are expected to see up to another 4 to 6 inches from the current rap around bands of snow we are now receiving from the initial low-pressure system that went through the state yesterday.  So, these totals are certainly going to increase.

Bismarck 10.4 inches of snow.

Mandan 10.0 inches of snow.

Moffit 8.5 inches of snow.

Hazelton 8.8 inches of snow.

Jamestown 8.0 inches of snow.

Fargo 4.3 inches of snow.

Grand Forks 10 inches of snow.

Devils Lake 2.0 inches of snow.

Minot 3.5 inches of snow.

Williston 6.0 inches of snow.

Dickinson 5.0 inches of snow.

Wing 10.0 inches of snow.

Dawson 6.0 inches of snow.

Fort Yates 10.5 inches of snow.

Ashley 5.5 inches of snow.

Selfridge 5.0 inches of snow.

Underwood 7.2 inches of snow.

Stanton 4.5 inches of snow.

Hazen 8.6 inches of snow.

New Salem 5.5 inches of snow.

Glen Ullin 5.4 inches of snow.

Heart Butte Dam 7.0 inches of snow.

New Leipzig 4.0 inches of snow.

Mott 3.0 inches of snow.

New England 4.0 inches of snow.

Hettinger 8.0 inches of snow.

Deadwood, South Dakota 23.0 inches of snow.

Spearfish, South Dakota 18.0 inches of snow.

Looks like parts of western South Dakota and northwest South Dakota have seen the brunt of this system.  Blizzard Warnings remain in effect for those parts of South Dakota.  Those areas have also seen stronger winds than what we have seen so far in North Dakota.

Speaking of wind, it is expected to increase today, tomorrow, and Friday.  Look for patchy blowing snow that could cause some driving difficulties in North Dakota.
