North Dakota could be looking at another severe weather event again this Friday, June 27th.

Take a look at the latest map from the Storm Prediction Center of the National Weather Service.

Virtually the entire state of North Dakota is in a Level 2 for impactful severe weather on Friday.

Of course, this Friday will mark the one-week anniversary, which some weather officials are saying it was a once-in-a-lifetime storm. North Dakota saw numerous tornadoes, straight-line winds that reached the status of a category three hurricane, and four people lost their lives.

I think people are still a little jumpy from what we experienced this past Friday evening. Will this be a carbon copy storm day from last week?

What are the potential impacts from this severe weather event?

According to the National Weather Service, we have a marginal chance for strong to severe thunderstorms. As of right now, the greatest threats will be large hail and locally damaging winds. No mention of tornadoes at this point.

Last week, however, we also started out at a Level 2 threat for severe weather before it was upgraded to Level 3 later in the week. Hopefully, that will not be the case again for this potential severe weather threat.

As of right now, the National Weather Service is calling for a 40 percent chance of Thunderstorms for Friday afternoon and evening, with hail up to two inches in diameter and damaging winds of 60 to 70 miles per hour.

We will continue to monitor this potential severe weather outbreak and keep you informed on air with our meteorologists from Severe Studios.
