
Old Farmer’s Almanac NoDak Fall Forecast: Sweaters Or Sweating?
It's hard to think about fall when we are about to have another sweltering summer day today, well into the 90s.
But, it won't be long, and we will be giving those air conditioners a break and tempted to turn on the furnace as cooler temperatures are just around the corner.
The seasons here in North Dakota often seem to change like a light switch.
Ready or not, here they come. So much for transitional periods. As someone who loves summer, I love fall even more. The best of everything comes in the fall. The best fishing, hunting, and NFL football, of course.
I'm certainly not wishing the remainder of the summer away, but I have really learned to appreciate fall as I get older.
I came across The Old Farmer's Almanac's Fall Forecast for the country, and it looks like North Dakota could be in for a mixed bag when it comes to fall weather.
Some of us in central and western North Dakota will likely experience warmer-than-average temperatures with above-average precipitation. That means most likely rain and not snow.
As you all know, snow in early October is certainly not uncommon for us in North Dakota.
Even September snow is possible. Here's a map breaking down what the Old Farmer's Almanac is forecasting this fall for North Dakota and the rest of the country.
Central and western North Dakota will be warm and wet. The eastern part of the state could see cooler than normal temperatures and be on the dry side.
Either way, I'm ready for it. I can't wait for the cool crisp evenings and sleeping with the windows open. Nothing is better than fall in North Dakota.
