An announcement made earlier this Monday morning

This had to be something Governor Doug Burgum has been thinking about for a while now, but it's always tough to make the final decision. We look back at June 7th of this year. According to wikipedia.com "The 2024 presidential campaign of Doug Burgum began on June 7, 2023, at an event in Fargo, North Dakota. Burgum, the governor of North Dakota since 2016, was seeking the Republican Party nomination in its 2024 presidential primaries" This excited so many of his supporters. Doug Burgum first took over the duties of governor of North Dakota was 7 years ago, back in 2016. A successful businessman, Burguim was motivated to make an impact. His hopes for someday becoming President of the United States ended today.

Governor Burgum's campaign made an announcement this morning

Once again, this had to be something Doug Burgum had been weighing on for a while - but this morning an announcement came from his campaign - officially dropping him out of the 2024 Republican presidential primary. "In community after community along this journey, we witnessed the best that America has to offer. We are deeply grateful for each and every person who supported us with their ideas, prayers, advocacy, encouragement and enthusiasm," a statement from Burgum -  abcnews.go.com reported. So of course the big question is, what's next for Governor Doug Burgum? Can he seek another term as our governor? The answer to that last question is "Yes"

"Our nation doesn't need to be perfect..."

"While this primary process has shaken my trust in many media organizations and political party institutions, it has only strengthened my trust in America - Our nation doesn't need to be perfect to be exceptional."  Only time will tell if he decides to continue as our governor.
