If This Happened At A North Dakota Airport Would $30,000 Cut It?
It's been a rough stretch for airline travel for carriers and passengers alike.
The devastating crash in Washington D.C. with an American Airlines regional jet colliding with an army helicopter that killed 67 people with zero survivors back on January 29th, 2025.
Philadelphia and Alaska also had fatal airplane crashes recently, not to mention several other nonfatal incidents reported at airports across the country.
One of the more scary plane crashes that miraculously had zero fatalities happened this week in Toronto, Canada.
A Delta Airlines regional jet that originated in Minneapolis on Monday, traveling to Toronto, Ontario, Canada, crashed upon landing on the runway and flipped upside down. Both wings tore off the plane, and experts claim that may have saved all the lives on board.
According to airline experts, most of the fuel for this plane is in the wings, and those separating from the fuselage of the plane may have kept the entire plane from exploding.
Airport officials say that 40 miles per hour winds at the time of landing may have contributed to the crash. If you haven't seen the video yet, here it is.
Pretty shocking video. Even more shocking that nobody perished. According to CBS News, this plane was carrying 76 passengers and four crew members.
Delta Airlines of course serves the Bismarck Airport with several connecting flights to Minneapolis each day.
Now, CBS News is reporting that Delta Airlines is offering each passenger on that plane $30,000 dollars no questions asked.
A nice gesture from the airline, but I'm pretty sure if I was a passenger on that flight that wouldn't quite cut it.
$30,000 after that horrific crash? Nope, think about how that would affect you mentally for the rest of your life. I would be looking for a lot more compensation. How about you?
