Our friends at WalletHub are at it again.  This time around they examined how sinful each state is.  Does this mean they were undercover in all of the smut stores around the country?  Maybe, but "lust" was just part of the equation.

Here's the methodology WalletHub used to come up with their shameful states.  They broke it down into 7 categories.  Anger and hatred, jealousy, excesses and vices, greed, lust, vanity, and laziness.

They then took those 7 dimensions and examined them using 47 metrics such as obesity, sex offenders, bullying rates, theft, excessive drinking, drinking and driving, smokers, drug use, gambling-related arrests, gambling addiction, prostitution, time watching internet porn, and a host of other sinful activities.

Which state is the most sinful in the country?

According to the latest 2022 data Nevada, which is home to "sin city" Las Vegas comes in at number one.  No surprise really.  How about the rest of the top 5?

#2 California

#3 Texas

#4 Florida

#5 Louisiana

Which states are the least sinful in the country?

According to the latest 2022 data, Idaho comes in at number one.  The rest of the top 5 states when it comes to good clean living?

#2 Wyoming

#3 Vermont

#4 South Dakota

#5 Iowa

So, where does North Dakota Rank as a sinful state?

Try the 43 LEAST sinful state.  I guess I thought all of our excessive drinking and drinking and driving might have us a little higher on the list.

Our other neighboring states including Minnesota came in behind us at the 44th least sinful state.  That seems just a little off as there's a lot of crazy stuff going on in the Twin Cities of Mineapolis and St. Paul.

Montana is the most sinful of our bordering states.  They came in at #34.
