The Bismarck-Mandan community has a new art and craft studio for paint and wine nights.

Paint and wine nights are always a fun way to spend the evening with friends. Typically, in the BisMan area, you have to wait for a specific, one-time workshop event to come about in order to do something like this. But now, there is a studio offering regular crafty nights. Have you heard of Board & Brush Creative Studio?

What to expect at a Board & Brush Event

At Board & Brush, you are not going to be painting canvases. Instead, you will learn a little woodworking. The owner of Board & Brush, Sara Christianson, told me that creating artwork at Board & Brush is a seven-step process that includes:

  1. Distressing
  2. Sanding
  3. Staining
  4. Painting
  5. Stenciling
  6. Sanding
  7. Waxing

Who can attend Board & Brush's crafting events?

Sara told me that there are different classes offered to different demographics. She said that Friday and Saturday classes are "bring your own booze" crafting nights (not recommended for anyone under 21). If you are looking for a more family-friendly night, Sara says birthday parties and parent-child classes.

Arts and crafts can be a de-stressor and are a fun way to spend time with friends and loved ones.

When I lived in Colorado, there was a paint and wine studio minutes from where I lived. My roommate and I would go to the studio on days off just to catch up and be creative. We always had a blast and I look forward to getting to try out a class right here in Bismarck as well.
