If there is one song that will always remind me of the 4th of July it's "God Bless The U.S.A." by Lee Greenwood.

That song is synonymous with hot dogs, apple pie, and fireworks.  Nearly every synchronized fireworks show set to music over the 4th has always included this country classic.

It's also hard to believe that "God Bless The U.S.A." from Lee Greenwood is now 40 years old.

My, how time flies.  There is nothing like sitting in your boat on your favorite lake on the 4th of July watching the fireworks illuminating the summer sky as Lee Greenwood's patriotic anthem is pumping out of your speakers.

Now, you have a chance to see Lee Greenwood sing this timeless song in person right here in North Dakota.

The only catch is it won't be over the 4th of July.  According to a press release, Lee Greenwood will be performing at this year's Big Iron event at the Fargodome on Wednesday, September 11th.

This will also be a FREE show that will be held in the grandstand at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds in West Fargo, North Dakota.

The gates will open at 5 pm with the show starting at 6 pm.

This also might be your final opportunity to see Lee Greenwood perform, as the singer said last year, that 2024 will be his final year touring.  Lee Greenwood is 81 years old.

Although Lee Greenwood is most known for his hit "God Bless The U.S.A." he has a career that has spanned over 60 years.

Lee Greenwood has released more than 20 major-label albums and has charted more than 35 singles on the Billboard country music charts.
