Tigirlily Gold will open up the 145th Mandan Rodeo Days on Saturday, June 29th.

Tigirlily Gold has never been hotter.  They are the reigning ACM Best New Duo (their first major award won) and were also nominated for a CMT Award in two categories.  Their song "I Tried a Ring on" is getting national airplay, and of course is being played on US 103-3 here in Bismarck Mandan.

The question has been who will be opening for Tigirlily Gold when the Mandan Rodeo comes around?

We finally have the answer to that question and it will be not one, but TWO different acts.  One of the acts is country to the core.  The other likes to rock.  It kind of reminds me of a combination of Tigirlily Gold.  As the ladies from Hazen, North Dakota, who are known for their country music, can also rock it when they want to.

Let's spill the beans on the country to the core girl first. She's none other than Savanah Benz.

Savanah Benz, who graduated from Bismarck St. Mary's High School and is now attending college in Nashville, pursuing her dreams of being a country music star.  She is a talented singer and songwriter and has been on my show on US 103-3 performing live several times.

We've also had Savanah perform on the Lewis and Clark Riverboat before for our "Motorboating Party Cruise" for our listeners.

The other opener will be the rockers' "Frantic Anarchy".

Frantic Anarchy is based out of Bismarck and is well-known across the region.  They've opened for Hairball and have been regulars at festivals, bars, and events like "The Mac & Cheese Fest".  If you have never seen Frantic Anarchy perform before, I promise you will love them.

There you go, a little of something for everybody at this year's Mandan Rodeo Days, showcasing some of the best local talent that we have to offer.  Local talent that is getting noticed nationally, and talent that is on the verge of stardom.
