Three things are certain in life.  Death, taxes, and road construction.  Thankfully, one of those should be coming to a halt as we head into fall.  I'm talking about road construction.  Overall, it seems like it's been a fairly pain-free road construction season in Bismarck Mandan.  Sure, there's been some troublesome areas, but overall I feel it's been a lot better than the last couple of road construction seasons.  It's been especially nice not to have a whole lot of work being done on the interstate.  That sure has helped with the commute for a lot of people.

According to a press release from the city of Bismarck, starting this Friday at 8:00 am, this Friday, August 12, 2022, the city of Bismarck will be closing down River Road between Keelboat Park/River Boat landing and Burnt Boat Drive to all traffic for the installation of pavement markings.  The Riverboat Landing and Boat ramp will still be accessible from the south.  Pioneer Park will be accessible from the north.  Here's a map of the affected area.

There will be no detour routes provided by the city.  The good news?  This will only be a short closure.  Construction is expected to be completed by the end of the day on Friday, August 12th, 2022.  The road will be accessible again on Saturday, August 13th.

If you take this stretch of road on your daily commute you are asked to seek an alternate route.  The city of Bismarck says your patience is greatly appreciated.
