
Final Day of McQuade’s Weekend, WIND ADVISORY for Bismarck-Mandan Area
Yesterday, McQuade's got a few games in, but most of the day was a wash out due to heavy rain in the area. Most of the games got determined by the flip of a coin. The winning teams advance into the final rounds today.
Teams will be able to play today as the city had worked into and over the night to place a corn shuck compound on the fields and manicured the diamonds overnight.
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE in Bismarck has issued a WIND ADVISORY for the entire area until 8 PM (CST). According to the weather statement -
A wind advisory will be in effect from 11AM until 8 PM (CST) as winds gusting up to 45 MPH will make travel difficult for high profile vehicles, especially in open areas as the interstate. This low pressure system is Manitoba will create strong winds over the area and will effect the towns of Rugby, Beach, Jamestown, Hettinger, Bismarck, Mandan, Minot and Oakes.
A WIND ADVISORY means that sustained winds of 30-40 MPH or gusts under 58 MPH are expected in the entire area.
