Is leasing or buying a car a better option? There are many people on both sides of the issues and some like to buy while others like to lease. I'm one that likes to buy a vehicle and hang onto it for years before selling and buying another one. I have other friends that would never buy and love to lease. The benefits of leasing are all the repairs are covered by the leasing company and if the vehicle is in a wreck and either gets totaled out or has a damaged disclosed title the leasing company takes the hit.

One issue is if you go over on miles the customer has to pay for the mileage overage. I prefer to buy, but then when something goes wrong with the vehicle, I'm the one responsible for fixing the vehicle. A friend of mine said it the best you either have a payment or are always fixing the vehicle. The best thing I can tell most people is to try and learn as much as you can about fixing vehicles because you can save a lot of money. When you're your own mechanic the price of fixing the vehicle goes way down, but if you have to take it to the shop it gets expensive.

There are a lot of great repair shops in the Bismarck-Mandan area, and ones that are honest and don't take advantage of people. What do you prefer to do buy vehicles or lease them?
