So now that Carson Wentz escaped Philadelphia, will you become an Indianapolis Colts fan? I still see people wearing his old green Eagles uniform with his name plastered on the back - A North Dakota State Bison superstar, Carson was drafted second overall back in 2016 - only took him one year before he led Philly to their first-ever Super Bowl victory in 2017, although he missed out in the big game due to injuries. Unfortunate times came later, just last season Wentz was benched for rookie Jalen Hurts - clearly, the writing was on the wall. That became a reality when Philadelphia traded Carson to the Colts last month. The excitement for Wentz fans built as they waited in anticipation to see what number the new Colts player would receive (someone else wears his old number 11). It's only fitting that the Bismarck native's new pretty blue number 2 Indianapolis Colts jersey, are IN at Scheels.

Now that you have that exciting news, you can proudly wear your new jersey when you take a road trip to Fargo, North Dakota in June. According to KVRR Carson Wentz is bringing the AO1 charity softball game back to Newman Outdoor Field on June 26.

"This event is definitely a highlight of my summer. It was a tough decision to cancel last year’s game. However, I’m excited to be able to host this event once again, and I’m looking forward to a great turnout on June 26.”  Wentz said. This is an exciting event, with a Home Run Derby and a softball game featuring former NDSU players - fireworks will be fired off following the end of the game.

  • Tickets go on sale on Monday, May 3 at 10 a.m. Get your tickets at ao1foundation.org or at the Newman Outdoor Field ticket office.
