Drinking is a popular pastime for North Dakotans.

It is no secret that North Dakotans are big drinkers. And while we North Dakotans sure love to slam some beers, sometimes, we also like to sip on classier drinks. Do you know what wine is most popular in North Dakota?

What is the most popular wine choice in North Dakota?

According to Eat This, Not That!a Google Trends survey done by The Waycroft discovered that North Dakota's favorite wine is Pinot Grigio. Pinot Grigio is actually a favorite among seven states. And white wine in general was the most popular choice across the country.

What is Pinot Grigio?

Have you ever tried Pinot Grigio? Since it is a white wine, you would likely expect it to be sweet. But it is actually a dry white wine. VinePair describes Pinot Grigio as "a dry white wine that has a punchy acidity with flavors of lemons, limes, green apples, and honeysuckle."

I do like to drink, but I am so very particular about my alcohol. Whatever I am drinking must taste fruity, Otherwise, I will be grimacing and dry heaves as I attempt to down whatever non-sweet drink is in my hand. So, I have not tried too many dry wines because I can barely handle a sip. And I am too cheap to waste my money on a bottle of wine I could potentially hate. I will stick to throwing back glasses of Moscato.

What type of wine is your favorite to drink?
