On a sun-splashed crisp beautiful Saturday morning, I drove by the Kirkwood Mall. There waiting to greet me with their red feathers beaming, Chick-fil-A standing tall with a flood of construction workers hard at detailing the job at task.

Seemed like yesterday when Bismarck got the word that some exciting new  restaurants were coming

Kirkwood Mall of course has been pretty busy as of late, getting ready for some new neighbors. The Blaze Pizza, Five Guys, and Panchero's Mexican Grill. There will be plenty of variety for you and your family. Cruizing down 3rd Street, I could see big-time progress with Chick-fil-A, the drive-thru looked almost complete. The anticipation of this place has been huge, I have never been to one, but I remember the crowds swarming over the one in San Diego, with glowing reports from everybody.

Chick-fil-A is projected to open towards the end of the year

Walking around the new site, I was impressed with how many workers were in and out of the restaurant, it's so clear to see the enthusiasm on their faces, putting together something that will really be quite special here in Bismarck. This place is huge, and will no doubt bring a ton of business to Kirkwood Mall.

Nice to see some positive progress after such an awful 2020

Think about how far we have come since last year when businesses shut down for good and we all seemed to be handcuffed to staying home. Let's hope that more and more people will get out and find jobs and keep these places thriving.
