Could A New Chick-Fil-A Rule Shake Up Dining In North Dakota?
A Bismarck Chick-fil-A store Manager has confirmed a controversial rule at a different restaurant that could potentially mean some of its customers would have to leave the restaurant.
Chick-fil-A in Bismarck is easily one of the most popular restaurants in the city, as its drive-thru is often backed up well into the Kirkwood Mall parking lot.
I'm not much for waiting for anything, so it took me a long time before I was able to try out the goodness of the Bismarck Chick-fil-A. I got lucky one afternoon when the line wasn't too long a couple of years back.
Chick-fil-A has been open since December of 2021 in the Capital City.
We have a total of 5 Chick-fil-A locations in North Dakota.
Grand Forks: (2)
One is located at 3230 32nd Avenue South.
The other is located on the University of North Dakota campus at 3625 Campus Road, Stop 9033, inside the Memorial Union.
Fargo: (2)
One is located at 4100 13th Avenue South outside of West Acres.
Another one is located on the campus of North Dakota State University at 1401 Administration Avenue.
Bismarck: (1)
And our Chick-fil-A is located outside of Kirkwood Mall at 703 South 3rd Street.
Only two states in the country, by the way, do not have a Chick-fil-A restaurant. They are Alaska and Vermont.
Chick-fil-A's age policy.
One Chick-fil-A in the town of Ketterling, Ohio, ruffled some feathers recently because of implementing an age policy, otherwise known as a "Teen Chaperone Policy."
School is starting up everywhere, and all guests at the Ketterling Chick-fil-A location must be 18 or older, or accompanied by someone 21 or older, to dine in the restaurant.
As I mentioned at the beginning of this article, a manager confirmed this age policy, but it is NOT happening in our Bismarck Chick-fil-A, and they have no plans to implement it. That was a local decision by that Ohio store.
The new policy at this Ohio Chick-fil-A has caused a stir, and the social media post was recently removed, presumably due to backlash.
Regardless, Chick-fil-A customers across the Capital Region do not have to fear that this policy is coming our way. All ages welcome to dine in.
