According to a press release from Bismarck Public Schools, BPS has purchased the land for two new schools.  The Bismarck Public School Board and BPS staff are very excited about these two new elementary schools sites for future construction.

The Board approved the purchase of a Northwest location in the Elk Ridge 2nd addition, and a Northeast location in the Silver Ranch 3rd addition.  Bismarck population continues to expand to the north and this will help ease the influx of new students expected to start school in these parts of the city.

These two projects have a projected opening dates of  August 2022.  These  buildings are the result of a comprehensive 3 phase proposal vetted throughout the Bismarck community over the past 6 months.  These two schools will ease capacity issues in 8 elementary schools on the north side of Bismarck.

The 2nd phase of the proposal is underway as well with the soon to be completed Long Range Facilities Plan.  Phase 3 will address the needs at Legacy High School, Lincoln Elementary School and the implementation of the Facilities plan, which will address all Bismarck Public Schools.

Bismarck Public Schools is working with staff, parents and an architectural firm to design these two new elementary schools.  The Bismarck School Board thanks the community for its support as they move forward with these new projects.

Once again, these two new schools will open in August of 2022 in a Northwest location and Northeast location in Bismarck.  These schools will greatly ease capacity concerns on the 8 elementary schools on Bismarck's north side.
