BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — The Bismarck Event Center is hosting a Pride of Dakota Holiday Showcase this weekend.

State Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring says more than 200 companies are expected to showcase their products Friday through Sunday. He says it's a great opportunity for people to do holiday shopping.

Admission is $2 per adult, and shoppers get a free reusable bag. Shoppers who bring their own reusable bag get in for $1, as do active and retired members of the military.

Retailers can get $1 off admission by showing their sales tax license at the door. Goehring says it's an opportunity for retailers to try products from North Dakota businesses and establish wholesale orders.

More than 500 companies are members of the Agriculture Department's Pride of Dakota branding program.
