BHS Wins State Wrestling Titles
FARGO, N.D. - According to KFYR-TV-The Bismarck High Demons would sweep the Class A wrestling tournament winning the dual tournament on Friday and then would win the team title on Saturday.
The Minot Magicians would finish second one hundred and one points behind the demons. The Century Patriots would come home third, with Jamestown and Valley City rounding out the top five.
The Demons would collect five individual state champions as well one at 106 pounds in 8th grader LJ Araujo, 113 pound weight class in Christian Tanefeu, 120 pounds in Wilfried Tanefeu, 170 pounds in Gage Roaldson and a 182 pounds in Isaiah Huus.
Century had one State champ at 138 pounds in Clay Radenz. Dickinson Sophomore Troy Berg won the Midget's first individual title since 2007 at 145 pounds. Minot's Jacob Carmichael won the Magicians lone title at 195 pounds.
St. Mary's Standout Reece Barnhardt won the state title at 126 pounds and the Saints Drew Steidler was named Senior Wrestler of the year in Class A.
