Unveiling One Of The Cleanest & Clearest Lakes In North Dakota
Lake time in North Dakota is waning as we creep closer to fall.
It's hard to believe the Labor Day weekend is just a week away. It seems like just yesterday we were getting ready for the Memorial Day weekend.
Looking at the next 7 to 10-day forecast for North Dakota, it looks like we will have plenty of warm weather coming our way.
After a brief cool down this weekend, we should have temperatures near or above 80 degrees for the rest of the week and into the Labor Day weekend, with virtually no chances of rain.
If you don't have plans yet for the upcoming Labor Day weekend, I may have a spot for you and your family.
I actually visited this lake and state park a couple of years back in the fall. I was out scouting for ducks and geese and stumbled upon this beautiful lake. It even has a state park.
This gorgeous 900-acre lake is about 90 miles from Bismarck and about an hour and a half driving time from the Capital City. It's nestled between Napoleon and Wishek in Logan County.
The state park on this lake offers both primitive and modern camping, along with three camping cabins for those seeking adventure this upcoming Labor Day weekend.
Plenty of activities to keep you and the family occupied at this lake.
There are kayaks available for rent, allowing you to swim in one of the cleanest and clearest lakes in the state.
Additionally, you can enjoy hiking and biking trails. Don't forget to bring your fishing pole, as you can fish for the official North Dakota State Fish, the Northern Pike, with fish up to 10 pounds present.
You can also study the area's fascinating history found throughout the state park.
In case you are wondering, this little slice of water heaven is none other than Beaver Lake.
Check out these beautiful photos from Beaver Lake and the Beaver Lake State Park. You can find out more about this pristine spot here.
