13th Annual Rods & Rock Car Show This Saturday

This is easily one of my favorite events of the year

August for me living here in Bismarck means on one particular Saturday, I take our station vehicle and head out of town to another time zone - ( Mountain ) - off to Carson, North Dakota. This is definitely a must if you are looking for entertainment for the whole family, and by the way, when was the last time you had a chance to come home with $25,000??? I'll get to that in a minute....The Rods N Rock Car show is from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Plan on getting there early and spend a whole relaxing day.

Beautiful cars everywhere

I was blown away when I went out there two years ago for the first time and saw the line-up of amazing cars, and the variety as well - cars, pickups, motorcycles, and even antique tractors. It's such a charming place, breathe in the fresh air while you walk around enjoying music, food vendors, and beer and get this, there is a Hole-In-One contest ( Yes Golf! ) for a chance to WIN $25,000! One of the crowd's favorites ( besides the beer ) is always the Burnout Contest! Imagine watching wheels spinning and a huge thick cloud of smoke that surrounds the vehicle. Here is how to get there - it's just as you come into town off the main Hwy.21, that heads south out of Mandan - Once again, remember that this event is Mountain time ( one hour behind CST ) - The 13th annual Rods & Rock Car Show is sponsored by the Stewart Ranch. This year's show is in memory of Vietnam Veteran "Uncle Bruce" LeBeau beloved family and community member. We will see you out there!
