Michael Strahan’s Daughter With North Dakota Ties Health Battle
Good Morning America's Michael Strahan's daughter's devastating health news.
There's nothing that will change your life more than a cancer diagnosis. It's even more ominous when the C-word is associated with a young person. That's exactly what former NFL star Michael Strahan's family is dealing with these days.
According to an article on People, Strahan's twin daughter Isabella has been diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a form of brain cancer. Doctors found a tumor the size of a golf ball prompting Isabella to undergo emergency surgery.
Isabella and her twin sister Sophia were born in 2004 and grew up splitting time between their mom's farm in North Carolina and her home in rural Carson, North Dakota. Michael Strahan and the girl's mother Jean Muggli split when they were infants.
Jean Muggli Strahan was born on November 30, 1964, in Carson, North Dakota.
Despite the breakup of their parents when they were very young, it didn't stop the twins Isabella and Sophia from having a close relationship with both of their parents.
People began to speculate what happened to Michael Strahan when he took a leave of absence for several weeks on Good Morning America back in November of 2023. Strahan also missed his role on the Fox NFL Pregame show. It was eventually addressed he was dealing with personal family matters.
We now know the severity of those family matters.
What followed the emergency surgery for Isabella back in October of 2023 with several months of radiation treatment and rehabilitation.
In a recent interview on Good Morning America with her father Michael Strahan, Isabella spoke about how she got to "ring the bell", after 30 long sessions in six weeks of cancer treatment. However, Isabella's cancer battle is not over. According to the article, Isabella said she was also going to be undergoing chemotherapy.
Isabella is a model and a freshman at the University of Southern California. Her twin sister Sophia is a freshman at Duke University.
We certainly wish Isabella all the best in her cancer journey and our thoughts and prayers are with her and the Strahan and Muggli family.
