Monday morning, (Sept 26) a train slammed into a semi tractor trailer truck near Dwight, ND.

These types of accidents normally end up with the train winning. In this case, the train dragged the semi truck and trailer some distance before it came to a complete stop. The train did have one car derailed and the Red River Valley Western engine did receive major damage in the collision.

The truck driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threating injuries. The investigation continues. It is unclear if the truck stopped on the tracks or was trying to beat the train.
